Methodist Health System is a sponsor of the Great Plains Colon Cancer Task Force's 2021 Boxer 500 on Sunday, Aug. 29.

This year's event also features a virtual event. Get the family, pets, strollers – anything you want – out for this virtual option.

What Is the Boxer 500?

The Boxer 500 is a 5 kilometer run/walk, 1 mile walk and kids' event to raise awareness to "fight" colorectal cancer.

Participants are encouraged to draw attention to their bottoms and colorectal cancer by participating in boxer underwear (boxers are optional).

The event is Sunday, Aug. 29, at 8 a.m., at Werner Park. Registration includes a T-shirt and pancake breakfast. There will be a free kids' zone and survivor recognition.

The virtual Boxer 500 will be held the weekend of Aug. 28-29. Pick a day, pick your distance, and enjoy the run/walk with your family.
