A Successful 2019 Sets the Stage for 2020

Published: Jan. 6, 2020

When I look back on 2019, I do so with pride, joy, gratitude, enthusiasm, satisfaction and a tremendous amount of appreciation.

Last year, we saw strong patient volumes, continued growth in surgery and in our major service lines of cardiology, oncology, orthopedics and women’s/NICU services. In addition, our exciting and much needed Emergency Department Expansion and Renovation Project was started.

We also received visits from several outside agencies including the Joint Commission as well as Department of Health & Human Services and fire inspectors. You handled their questions with the dedicated professionalism you exhibit daily. Your preparation and knowledge didn’t go unnoticed.  We appreciate and are fortunate to have you as a member of our team.

Every day I see each of you delivering The Meaning of Care and upholding our mission. You do this by guiding visitors who may not know their way, offering a comforting touch to a patient or family member, pursuing the best treatment options available, and celebrating our health care victories along the way.

As we look ahead to 2020, the stage is set for another great year. We’ll be offering more treatment options for cardiac patients as well as better access to orthopedic, neurosurgical and spinal care is coming. We’ll see great progress on our Emergency Department project and Methodist Women’s Hospital will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary.

Our success and future growth would not be possible without you. Thank you for the exceptional work you do for our patients, our community and each other. You’re living our mission by improving the health of our communities by the way YOU care, educate and innovate.
