Walk to End Alzheimer's Rescheduled for Oct. 19 With New Event TIme

The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care,
support and research.

Methodist Health System is a sponsor for the 2019 Omaha Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, Oct. 19 in Stinson Park at Aksarben Village.

  • 10 a.m. - Registration/check-in
  • 11:30 a.m. - Ceremony begins
  • Noon -  Walk begins

Alzheimer's disease

Alzheimer's disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and 5.8 million Americans are living with the disease.

Those with Alzheimer's live an average of eight years after their symptoms become noticeable to others, but survival can range from four to 20 years, depending on age and other health conditions.

Join the Methodist team

Please consider joining the Methodist Health System team. Your participation could bring researchers one step closer to finding a cure for this progressive and fatal disease.

There are no registration fees, but donations are appreciated. Participants can register at the walk, but team registrations should be completed prior to the event.

Participants who raise or contribute $100 or more receive a T-shirt. Allcontributions and donations collected will go to the Alzheimer’s Association.
