Omaha's fifth annual 24-hour charitable challenge is an opportunity for the community to give to worthy local nonprofits, including Jennie Edmundson Foundation and Methodist Hospital Foundation.

Organized by the Omaha Community Foundation, Omaha Gives! is an online giving event to inspire the community to come together for 24 hours to contribute charitable dollars to support the work of local nonprofit organizations in the metro area (Douglas, Sarpy and Pottawattamie counties).

This year, there are more than 900 nonprofits participating.

Two Ways to Give: Schedule Gifts Ahead of Time &/or Give on May 24

  • The 24-hour donation period will begin May 24 and run from midnight to midnight.

  • OR, gifts can be scheduled ahead of time at omahagives24.org. These scheduled donations, which will not be charged to credit cards until May 24, will help participating organizations earn bonus dollars and participation prizes. However, scheduled donations are not eligible for hourly prizes.

Gifts to the Jennie Edmundson Foundation through Omaha Gives! will help fund programs that benefit Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital's patients and their families, employees, volunteers, students and the communities we serve in Council Bluffs and southwest Iowa. To go directly to the Omaha Gives! donation page for Jennie Edmundson Foundation, click here.

Gifts to the Methodist Hospital Foundation through Omaha Gives! will help build a new Emergency Department at Methodist Hospital. To go directly to the Omaha Gives! donation page for Methodist Hospital Foundation, click here.

To celebrate generosity and help favorite nonprofits get to the top, the community is invited to visit Omaha Gives! The charities that get the most support will win participation prizes.
