Wound Care

Wounds result from a broad range of medical conditions such as diabetes, vascular disorders and various conditions related to immobility. 

The chronic, hard to heal wounds that develop from these conditions include venous stasis ulcers, pressure ulcers or bed sores, and diabetic foot or lower extremity ulcers. 

Methodist Health System offers wound assessment and care by specially trained wound care providers for both inpatients and outpatients. This personalized care promotes healing and prevents infections.

Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital Advanced Wound Center located in Council Bluffs, Iowa,  is the only full-time Wound Center in Southwest Iowa that offers a 100% physician driven facility and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
