Women want answers about their breast health issues quickly and conveniently. That’s the goal for the Breast Health Center. That’s why Jennie Edmundson Hospital created southwest Iowa’s first comprehensive Breast Health Center.
Women who visit the Breast Health Center will receive a clinical breast exam by a board certified surgeon. Diagnostic tests and consultations are provided with education regarding breast disease, procedures and, if needed, surgery.
National Accreditation
Jennie Edmundson Hospital Breast Health Center has been granted a three-year, full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.
Jennie Edmundson Breast Health Center is one of only two centers in Iowa to receive the designation.
Accreditation by the NAPBC is only granted to breast centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.
Multidisciplinary Team
An integrated multidisciplinary team of specialists will help determine the cause of abnormal results.

The goal of the Breast Health Center is to provide each patient with final test results and necessary treatment plan within seven days of the initial visit – thereby minimizing any wait times and anxiety.
